Beneath the Surface: Graphic Design from Iran
A Collection of Contemporary Iranian Posters
Beneath the Surface: Graphic Design from Iran presents a collection of contemporary Iranian posters and explores the rich artistic creativity of contemporary Iranian designers. The designers readily borrow the signs, symbols, media, and literature of the past as a language in which to communicate with the present, and the posters challenge present day beliefs and conventions via references to the calligraphy, typography, and other artifacts of their Iranian heritage. Curated by Nahid Tootoonachi, the exhibition includes work by Reza Abedini, Mohammad Ehsaey, Maryam Enayati, Fatemeh Karkehabadi, Saed Meshki, Masoud Nejabati, Narges Safaei, Bijan Sayfouri, Ghobad Shiva, and Parisa Tashakori.

1 Trick Pony
Lecture
One Trick Pony creates advertising and branded creative content. They focus on their clients' needs as if they were their own and devote themselves to creating progressive advertising and design solutions that move their clients brands forward. Whether they are working with a local brand like Gorilla Coffee, or a national client like Sony Pictures Classics, their approach is the same - create visually engaging solutions that translate across multiple mediums and demand attention. One Trick Pony is led by owners Rob Reed and Keith Pizer. After working in New York City for years, Rob and Keith traded the big city for small-town USA. One Trick Pony is located in the "The Blueberry Capital of the World" - Hammonton, NJ., in the heart of South Jersey's farmlands, in between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Despite their small town location, they are still cranking out big ideas and eating a lot of Blueberries while doing it.
